The lake is at the North-West to the front of Newtownbarry. It was designed and made in the 19th century but was destroyed when the stream broke its banks in the 1950's. It was restored 4-5 years ago by Micky Dunne, The whole area was covered with sally trees. He restored the walls and re-built the waterfall. You can look down from the house through the laurels to the lake.
