The beginning of the flowering season in the rose garden (previously a tennis court!) starts with the magnificent magnolia tree which flowers profusely in March/April. The ornate rose beds in the center of this garden (of which their are three) produce their blooms in late May early June.) The beds are surrounded by box hedging. The herbaceous and shrub beds on the outer edge of this garden are full of a variety of colours and scents all year long. The whole garden is all of eight years old and was designed by Frances & Ian Mc Donald. The Rose garden is situated at the east of the house.
